About Port Washington Elementary

 

Port Washington Elementary is located in the village of Port Washington. It is part of the Indian Valley Local School District in Tuscarawas County. The Indian Valley District is comprised of one high school (in Gnadenhutten), one middle school (in Tuscarawas), and two elementary schools (one in Midvale and the other in Port Washington). The district enrollment is approximately 1800 students.

Port Washington Elementary is a K-5 building of approximately 400 students and 40 staff members. 

Port Washington Elementary offers a high quality education combined with a caring staff to provide students with the best possible environment in which to learn. This dedication has resulted in Port Washington Elementary being recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School in 2003 and 2022.

Students in the elementary schools acquire skills in the academic areas of ELA (Reading & Writing), Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. They also have related arts selections in Music, Physical Education, Computer, STEAM and Library.
